Background: Gallbladder wall thickening is relatively common on imaging. GB a frequent finding caused by spectrum of conditions. It observed in many intracholecystic as well intrinsic The study aimed to determine the relationship between thickness gallbladder malignancy patients with diseases. Methods: Prospective cross-sectional and observational was carried out department general surgery hepato-biliary-pancreatic surgery, BIRDEM hospital, Dhaka from August 2019 February 2021. Patients admitted hospital who underwent were recruited for this study. Consecutive sampling done Results: 86% laparoscopic cholecystectomy, while 14% had open which 9 simple 6 radical en block. average 7.5mm, 52.7% moderate thickness, 37.3% mild, 10% severe. 20% disease carcinoma, most diagnosis chronic calculous cholecystitis. A cut-off value 8.25mm 81.8% sensitivity 72.7% specificity predicting ≥8.25 mm highest significant odds ratio carcinoma after adjusting age, gender, smoking history. Conclusions: significantly thicker gall bladder walls (9.80 vs 6.93 mm) higher frequency severe (36.36 vs. 3.41%) compared without carcinoma. Gall an important variable requiring consideration proper evaluation exclude undertaking surgical management, thus improving long-term outcome.
